Teaching young students & athletes to be socially responsible, on and off the field.
THE PROGRAM
BEYOND THE HUDDLE focuses on self-awareness, the importance of respectfully listening to others while compassionately growing multicultural perspectives. This program is offered for FREE to schools and athletic organizations. It responds to the urgency of educating young people in being more cognizant of their words and actions. It propels individuals to be more socially responsible, both on and off the field, through engaging workshops that promote empathy, understanding and how to build a more inclusive world.
We will be known forever by the tracks we leave in other people’s lives, our kindnesses and generosity. Take the time to walk a mile in their moccasins.”

FOUNDERS
BEYOND THE HUDDLE was created by Leah Zenk and Anastasia Gavalas. Leah, a 2020 high school graduate, was at the top of her game as an honor student and sought-after lacrosse goalie college recruit. She was on her way to playing for a prestigious D1 college in the Midwest on multiple scholarships when one post changed her entire life. She took full responsibility for her actions and began to dig deep in learning about her own beliefs and broadening her perspective. Together, with Education Specialist Anastasia Gavalas, they developed BEYOND THE HUDDLE and offer this very relevant and empowering program to young people throughout the country.
